Terms of use

These terms are the agreement between you and Gábor Szentirmai, trading as Spiritwalker Studios (Jókai utca 232, 1196 Budapest, Hungary, “we”), for using Murmkin. By creating an account you accept them. The privacy policy explains what happens to your data.

Who can use Murmkin

• You must be at least 16 years old.
• One account per person, with an email address you can receive mail at. Keep your password to yourself.
• You pair with one partner at a time, and only with someone who agrees to it.

Be kind and legal

Don't use Murmkin to:

• harass, threaten, stalk or spy on anyone, including your partner;
• send anything illegal, including sexual content involving minors;
• break into the service, other accounts or the encryption, or overload our servers;
• share content that you have no right to share.

Your conversations are end-to-end encrypted, so we can't read or check them. If you report abuse to us, we may suspend or close the account involved.

Your content

What you write and share stays yours. You only give us what we need to store and deliver it to your partner, in encrypted form. We don't sell it, read it or use it to train AI.

Stars and items

• Stars are earned in the app (for example from quests) and spent on pets, outfits and other items. They have no money value, can't be exchanged for money and can't be moved to another account.
• While Murmkin is in beta, star packs are free. Before paid packs start, we'll update these terms with the prices, how payment works and your right to a refund.
• We never take away an item you got, except as part of closing an account for breaking these terms.

The service

• Murmkin is made by a small studio. We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. Keep your own copy (Export) of what matters most to you.
• The app updates itself; some updates may be required to keep using it.
• If we ever have to shut Murmkin down, we'll tell you at least 60 days ahead so you can export your chat.
• Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under the law of the country you live in. We're responsible for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law stops us.

Changes and contact

If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before it applies. Hungarian law applies, without taking away the protection of the law where you live. Questions: admin@spiritwalkerstudios.com.
